Project Rules
- All code must be written during the hackathon. You're welcome to walk in with an idea, but you can't reuse code or project materials from a prior project. Use of libraries, frameworks, or open-source tools is fine.
- Your code must be publicly available, ideally in a GitHub repository, and must remain public after the event to stay eligible for prizes.
AI Tools
Please be transparent about any use of AI coding agents, like GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar tools. List any AI tools you used in your submission, and be ready to answer questions about your process when judges ask.
Team Rules
Teams of 4. All team members should actively participate in the hackathon. Teams should leverage advice and support from organizers, volunteers, mentors, and each other.
Cheating
If a team is deemed to have cheated, they will be disqualified from winning any prizes. Cases can include:
- Submitted someone else's work with minor tweaks (plagiarism)
- Project looks to have been worked on/completed before the hackathon
If you suspect cheating, please contact the CTP Hacks team at hackathon@cunytechprep.org.
